Gradis'ciutta

Since 2018, the first vineyards of the Gradis'ciutta estate have been officially organic-certified – the result of ten years of consistent work. Robert Princic began converting his vineyards in Collio to organic cultivation as early as 2008, to create wines that respect the terroir. The conversion was particularly challenging: With 1000 to 1400 mm of rainfall per year, organic viticulture here required scientific precision. Through weather stations in the vineyards, the team could analyze meteorological data and work with targeted precision. The sustainability concept includes renewable energy and beehives directly at the vineyards. This enables Gradis'ciutta to capture the authentic fragrances of the landscape – from acacia blossoms and hay aromas to the characteristic notes of asparagus and elderflower.

This wine displays the classic light straw yellow colour of the variety. On the nose, the aroma spectrum ranges from baked pear and sweet spices to floral notes and hints of herbs. On the palate, ripe sweet peach and melon alternate with a round, creamy mid-palate and a finish with a hint of hazelnut. A full-bodied wine with balanced acidity and fruit aromas, produced from low yields and fully ripe grapes.

Bright straw yellow colour. The nose is dominated by white flowers with notes of lychee, followed by sage, green tomato and a hint of bay leaf and spring flowers. A complex aroma. Very fresh on the palate, with plenty of volume in the mid-palate. The finish reveals the juiciness of the fruit, balanced by a mineral note.

Straw yellow colour of medium intensity. Nose: Very pleasant varietal notes on the nose, with hints of acacia blossom and sweet almonds. The broad palate reveals ripe yellow fruit and a solid, structured finish that leads to a long, mineral aftertaste. A wine with great depth and intense mineral notes, typical of old wines and hillside vineyards.

A beautiful straw-yellow colour. Very fresh and immediate on the nose. Typical aromas of citrus fruits and green apple are evident, with hints of tea leaves and wisteria in the background. Nice entry on the palate. The mid-palate is straightforward and juicy, and the finish is reminiscent of the powerful, mineral notes of lemon. A wine with intense aromas, typical of vineyards on slopes with marl and sandstone soils and good sun exposure.

The colour is a deep ruby red with youthful violet reflections. The fresh and immediate nose opens with floral aromas and continues with classic Cabernet Franc notes of sweet liquorice and red pepper. On the palate, there is a distinct and precise blackberry note, followed by a light, dry and tannic finish.

The nose of Monsvini reveals a complex bouquet of dark chocolate, accompanied by delicate notes of violets and spicy hints of black tea. On the palate, this cuvée has a powerful, well-structured personality. The fine, silky tannins lend it elegance and length, while intense berry flavours provide fruitiness and liveliness. The different altitudes of the vineyards have given the grapes a remarkable complexity and finesse. An expressive Bordeaux-style wine that skilfully expresses the advantages of its privileged location between Austria and Slovenia.
