The barrels are medium roasted so that the aromatic nuances of the fruit are preserved. One third of new barrels are used every year.
Goes well with roast turkey and chicken as well as grilled meat such as lamb.
Dark ruby red. Intense notes of red berries, spices, liquorice and some leather. Gentle on the palate with soft enamel and lots of elegance, excellently balanced, with the finest tannins and a long finish.
