The 2019 vintage was warm and sunny, with ideal ripening conditions. Despite a cool May, the vines developed well. September brought ideal conditions for the grapes to ripen slowly and fully. Overall, a vintage of very high quality and substantial volume.
Pairs very well with hearty meat dishes (e.g. beef, lamb), game or mature cheese. Also ideal for special occasions or for laying down.
An intense, deep ruby red with great concentration. On the nose, ripe dark red fruits, accompanied by spicy notes, a hint of eucalyptus and subtle nuances of cocoa and vanilla. On the palate, it is balanced, rich and yet fresh.
