Cipolla di Tropea in Agro Vasi 300 g

One of the most appreciated recipes by gourmets. In Calabria we are lucky, the famous "RED ONION OF TROPEA" is grown, which thanks to the work done by the consortium for the protection of the onion, has obtained important recognition for its characteristics, flavor, color, shape and sweetness. The red onion of Tropea in agro is, in my opinion, the best way to consume the onion. Small oblong onions are used. They are blanched in wine vinegar, flavored with juniper berries and mint, extra virgin olive oil, black peppercorns and bay leaves. Thus we have obtained the queen of preserves.
