Nero d'Avola (Ital., "Black from Avola") is a red grape variety probably of Sicilian origin, widespread in southern Italy and also called "Principe Siciliano" (Sicilian Prince) by locals. It is one of the traditional grape varieties of Sicily and produces excellent wines.

With pasta dishes, meat, poultry, game and cheese.

Rich bouquet with aromatic notes of blackberries and black cherries, some vanilla and delicate toast, spicy facets, very dense and complex on the palate, extremely full and substantial, densely woven, firm tannins, fruity and spicy on the finish.
