Franciacorta is the best sparkling wine denomination in Italy. The Villa winery, run in the style of a first-class champagne house (bottle fermentation and 30 months of yeast ageing), is swinging at the top with this clearly structured, elegant and fruity Franciacorta in the Chardonnay-influenced Blanc de Blancs style. carry, created using the classic method of bottle fermentation. The authorised grape varieties are Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco and Pinot Nero. The minimum ageing period on the lees is 18 months.
It is ideal as an aperitif, with oysters, caviar, salmon or all fish starters, mild cheese, fine antipasti or just to enjoy.
The bubbles are light and fine, the bouquet is reminiscent of dried fruits, cedar and acacia. one finds above all floral notes of jasmine and acacia, but also exotic (pineapple and melon). Honey, nougat and cinnamon notes join in on the palate. A fresh, lively acidity that is very well integrated in the rest of the body of the Contadi Castaldi Franciacorta Brut demands more! Lots of fun!
