The Chianti Classico producers have introduced a three-tier classification model. Above the vintage wine (Annata) and the Riserva, the Gran Selezione is now the crowning glory. The Gran Selezione is made from the grapes of the best vineyards of a winery, according to strict rules and even stricter controls.

Excellent with fish, poultry or seafood.

Golden yellow color with light green reflections, the bouquet has scents of white flowers and delicate fruits. Generous in the body with exotic fruit aromas and a hint of nutty components.

Black crimson with violet reflections. Dark fruit notes on the nose, cassis, cedar, mocha, violets, some leather and tobacco. Mouth-filling and fleshy on the palate with a very complex variety of aromas. Wonderfully rich, but fine-grained tannins and a perfectly integrated acidity provide the necessary structure. Long, intense and creamy finish.
