Belfresco IGT Calabria Rosso 2021

This fresh, fruity, youthful red wine made from Gaglioppo grapes, will make every warm summer evening a celebration. As the name says "Bel Fresco" in Italian "nice and fresh", this red wine is an alternative to white or rosè wine in summer. Cryo-maceration (cold maceration at 5°C for about 15 hours) and carbonic acid fermentation (the conversion of sugar into alcohol is not done by the yeasts as usual, but starts a special metabolic process of its own enzymes in the berry) result in a light (12.5% vol.) accessible very fragrant and lively wine.

Perfect as an aperitif or with fish, Italian antipasti, grilled meat.

Colour: bright ruby red with violet reflections. On the nose: fruity and floral. Taste: fresh, lively and soft.
