This small winery made headlines straight away. The first vintage of Archineri (2007) was immediately awarded three Bicchieris . And as if that wasn't enough, Archineri was named Wine of the Year in Gambero Rosso 2009. We are completely convinced by this small winery. It is more reminiscent of a garage winery than a typical Sicilian large-scale operation. The ten hectares of vineyards are located in the most renowned wine-growing area in Sicily on the northern slopes of the Etna . Only the old indigenous grape variety Nerello is grown. Mascalese .
