The Casanova di Neri winery was founded in 1971 when Giovanni Neri purchased an extensive estate in the municipality of Montalcino. Over the years, land has been sought and acquired where there are excellent conditions for growing great wines.

Tasting notes

Dense bouquet with aromas of blackberries and some smoke. Rich taste with beautiful fruit fullness and well-balanced tannins. Looks very harmonious and resonates for a long time.

The generosity of the 2017 vintage is evident on the palate: the tannins are soft and silky, balanced by a muted acidity that perfectly embodies the energy of this sunny vintage. The finish is long and elegant, fresh and harmonious.

The bouquet is powerful and complex, expressing all the ingredients of a generous vintage like 2017: fresh white flowers, followed by intense and ripe scents of small fruits such as cherry and wild blackberry. Finally, it shows the refreshing balsamic notes that are typical of every Tenuta Nuova. On the palate it quickly develops its full, rich and intense character. Even in a Mediterranean vintage like 2017, its balance is unmistakable. The tannic texture combines perfectly with the acidity and ensures an elegant and persistent finish.
