The Galatrona is a pure Merlot from Tenuta di Petrolo. In 1994, the Petrolo winery produced the first pure Merlot as Galatrona. Over the years, Petrolo became one of the best-known and best wineries in Italy, Galatrona became the flagship of Tenuta di Petrolo and one of the great Merlots in Italy.
A festive meal is just the right occasion.
Wonderfully dense and lively red. First the scent of wild berries and dark chocolate, immediately followed by exotic spices and a fine, earthy minerality. A harmonious interplay of fruit and lively acidity on the palate. Very round and balanced on the finish.
